Assoc. Prof. Chao Ren, Sichuan University, China


Chao Ren is currently an associate professor and doctoral supervisor with the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Sichuan University. He was selected into the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents of China in 2017. His research interests include image processing and machine learning. From 2015 to 2016, he was a visiting scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California at San Diego, USA. He has published more than 50 papers, including more than 10 papers published as the first or corresponding author on top journals/conferences (such as IEEE TIP, IEEE TMM, IEEE TCYB, IEEE TCSVT, CVPR, NeurIPS, etc.). He made oral presentations at international conferences CVPR (CCF A) and ICME, etc. He has reviewed for more than 30 important journals/conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TSP, IEEE TMM, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE TII, IEEE TGRS, IEEE TCI, IEEE TSMCS, Optics Express, etc. He has won the award of outstanding reviewer of several journals. He was a session chair of the international conference ICCC2018, and is a program committee member of the international conference ICISC2023. In addition, he is the communication review expert of NSFC projects. He has received the supports from nearly 20 projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, international cooperation projects, Key Research and Development Program of Sichuan Province, etc.


任超现为四川大学电子信息学院副教授,博士生导师。2017年 “国家博新人才支持计划”入选者。主要从事图像处理、机器学习相关研究。2015~2016年在美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校访问学习。共发表论文50余篇,包括10余篇作为第一作者/通信作者发表在领域顶级期刊/会议(如:IEEE TIP、IEEE TMM、IEEE TCYB、IEEE TCSVT、CVPR、NeurIPS等)上的论文。在CCF A类国际会议CVPR、权威会议ICME作口头报告。为IEEE TPAMI、IEEE TIP、IEEE TSP、IEEE TMM、IEEE TCSVT、IEEE TII、IEEE TGRS、IEEE TCI、IEEE TSMCS、Optics Express等30余个领域重要期刊/会议的审稿人,荣获多个SCI期刊优秀审稿人奖;为ICCC2018国际会议的分会主席及ICISC2023国际会议程序委员;为国家自然科学基金项目通讯评审专家。主持和参与近20项国家自然科学基金、国际合作项目、四川省重点研发计划项目等。
